A tryst with myself.
Have you ever met someone who works endlessly? Someone who knows about the internal pain they suffer from because of this endless work? I know a good amount of people who are like this. They think that they are doing something great for their future. Their family's future.
That's fine, but don't be too hard on yourself. It's completely okay to work but don't take pressuring yourself as means to finish your tasks. Take a break. You deserve it.
And while you're doing that here's a little poem for you-
-----------------------------------------------------------
You say you are working,
Trying to make a better life.
You say you know what you're doing,
For a world without strife.
But will it really matter?
Or will all your work be in vain?
When at last you come to know of The precious time you had slain.
You work for success, you say, for fame,
But after life, all you carry to the dead is your name.
You say you dream of glory,
Like the kings who could never be beat,
Little do you that they lay under your feet.
If tomorrow is the end of the world,
Will all this really count?
Or will you be a human like any other,
Whose happiness could never be found.
Life is like a game of chess,
Yet you choose to be the pawn,
When you could be a knight,
Riding towards dawn.
You don't need to worry about this gold,
You are your own king and queen.
But alas! It is all you have thought of and seen.
You needn't worry my friend,
There is still room for change.
You need to alter your thoughts,
And widen your range.
You can make a difference,
Happiness can be found.
But only if you get up
And decide to look around.
Food for thought.
This is beautiful poem... People are forced to take a break due to ongoing pandemic. Most of us may be wondering why we didn't take such a break before. What would have gone wrong?
